Garb of the Forest Warden

This set of clothing was gifted to ancient warriors of the elves that sought to emulate the mighty Forest Stalker. Blessed by ancient elderwood magic, these items bestow individuals great skill and agility like the fearsome predators themselves. Due to these terrifying abilities, they came to be known as Forest Wardens, the guardians of the woods.

The items of this set are most useful for any character that tends to scout unfamiliar areas, but any character that also seeks to better improve their mobility can benefit from it.

Lore

History or Nature DC 10 - Stories about the "treewalkers" began to spread during the human campaign into the forests of Betzaliel. Tales would tell of single elves that fought with the strength and ferocity of a wild beast before vanishing back into the thick woods. They came to be known as Forest Wardens and they were the gatekeepers of these ancestral lands.

History or Nature DC 17 - The elves born during the age of strife would tell you that to receive a blessing by an elderwood is no easy task. They are said to be able to see into the hearts of all people and know whether you are friend or foe. The fact that Forest Wardens bare not one but six items blessed by these ancient souls is a testament to not only their power but their resolve.

History or Nature DC 25 - It is rare to find these items out in the world as Forest Wardens were generally buried with their garb, unless a successor was found prior to their passing. Those that do come across them often keep their origin hidden as they are considered sacred artifacts of the elven people.

Belt of the Forest Level 11

Woven from vines blessed by an elderwood, this belt strengthens one's resolve and grants them greater fortitude.

Item Slot: Waist 9,000 gp

Property: You gain a +2 item bonus to endurance checks and a +1 item bonus to Fortitude

Stalker's Visage Level 12

This helm is carved from the skull of the fearsome Forest Stalker and blessed by waters fallen from the night sky. It grants an individual greater sight and the hunting instinct of the fearsome beast

Item Slot: Head 13,000 gp

Property: You gain darkvision.

Power (Daily): Minor Action. Until the end of your next turn, you gain tremorsense 10.

Warden's Stride Level 13

These boots are fashioned from the leaves of an elderwood. They soften falls from great heights thanks to their blessing.

Item Slot: Feet 17,000 gp

Property: You take no fall damage when falling from a height of 50 ft or lower. You take half damage from falls higher than 50 feet, and you always land on your feet.

Claws of the Hunter Level 14

These gloves shimmer with a pale blue iridescence. Crafted from the paws of a Forest Stalker, their elderwood thread is woven in to increase durability but also to grant one the agility of the beast.

Item Slot: Hands 21,000 gp

Property: You gain a +5 bonus to athletics checks

Power (Encounter): Free Action. Trigger:You make an athletics check to climb a surface. Effect: You climb at your speed.

Wrath of the Forest

This blade pulses with an arcane energy of times long since past. Those that are struck by it feel the fury of the forest within their very being.

Weapon: Heavy Blade

Enhancement: Attack rolls and damage rolls

Critical: +1d8 psychic damage per plus

Power (Daily * Psychic): Trigger: You hit an opponent with this weapon. Effect: The triggering enemy takes a -2 penalty to all defenses (save ends). First Failed Saving Throw: The enemy is also slowed (save ends all). Second Failed Saving Throw: The enemy is also stunned (save ends all).

Hide of the Guardian Level 16+

Ancient runic symbols are etched across this armor, granting it blessing of magical secrets long since gone.

Armor: Leather

Enhancement: AC

Property: You automatically succeed on saving throws against untyped ongoing damage.

Power (Encounter): Trigger: An ally within 5 is hit by an attack that deals ongoing damage. Effect: The triggering ally makes a saving throw with an item bonus equal to this armor's enhancement bonus.

Each item: +1 bonus to Athletics and Acrobatics checks

Full Set: +2 movement speed
